Got Kids??? Then You Need This!

Got Kids??? Then You Need This!

It is that time of the year for colds and flus to strike our homes.  Our "All Natural Vapor Rub" is a great remedy to have around.  Having small children and babies really limits your options for treating cough and congestion.

I used to keep Vicks on hand at my house for cold and flu season.  I would apply it to my kids feet and chests when they weren't feeling good.  Vicks is what I grew up using, therefore it only made sense to use it on my children.  I didn't think twice about it or the ingredients that were in it.  Todays consumers, as well as myself, are becoming more aware of the stuff that we put on or in our body.

That is why I quit using store bought rubs and created an all natural alternative for my family. I wanted a product that I felt comfortable using on my kids and myself.  The all natural ingredients I use to make my vapor rub is beeswax, coconut oil, shea butter, eucalyptus and peppermint essential oils.  The smell is powerful, refreshing, and not to mention it works great :)

Our All-Natural Vapor Rub is great for congestion and coughs! However, it is also great to use on sore muscles, headaches,  and much more. Here are just a few other ways to use our Rub:

    • Headaches:  Rub a small amount of vapor rub on your temples and forehead to help relieve headaches. The mentholated scent will release pressure in your head and instantly relieve pain.
    • Sore Muscles:  Just apply to the areas that you are feeling soreness and pain.  It is that simple.
    • Acne Treatment:  Apply to pimples several times a day to dry them out.
    • Treat Splinters:  Apply to prevent infection and to help sliver work its way out.
    • Dissolve Bruises:  Mix rub with salt and apply it on top of the recently bruised area.  It encourages a faster breakdown of the blood, getting rid of the black and blue faster.
So, if you have not already made the switch to "All-Natural Vapor Rub" you should definitely consider it.  You won't be disappointed!

    Gift Giving Etiquette

    Gift Giving Etiquette

As the holidays creep up on us quickly our stress levels can start to rise.  Our minds start to think of all these questions when It concerns gifts.  What's the perfect gift? How much should I spend? Do I get a gift for the hostess? Our homemade gifts okay or cash? Who would not be stressed after thinking about all of these possible questions.  I love the holidays. The holidays definitely stress me out having to think about buying gifts for everybody and their brother.  I hope I can help by answering a few of these questions that seems to be on every ones mind.

Review Your Gift List:  First things first, this should be done every year.  Find out where your relationship stands with each person.  Has it been over a year since you have seen them? Do you give them birthday gifts?  If the answer is "No" then I would not worry about getting that particular person a gift.

Appropriate Spending:  Resist the urge of match spending.  If someone is buying an extravagant gift, they should be doing so because they want too.  If they are not, then it tends to lose meaning and thoughtfulness.  Plus, individuals that usually buy extravagant gifts are able to do so financially.  So, it is better to give a gift with sentiment not a heavy price tag.

Hostess Gifts:  Should one give a hostess gift even if the invite says not too? Yes :)  You should always bring a gift to the hostess even if they say not too.  A hostess gift doesn't have to be expensive or big.  It can be some home baked goods, fun cocktail napkins, a small candle, etc.  The hostess will not refuse the kind gesture.

Cash & Homemade Gifts:  Instead of giving cash, I would recommend giving a gift card.  A gift card is a more tactful way to give a monetary gift.  Homemade gifts can be one of the best gifts you can give someone.  It really shows the thoughtfulness and the time you put into thinking of that person.

Presentation:  You always want to make sure that your gift is wrapped nicely, in a gift bag with tissue paper, or has a ribbon wrapped around it.  Make sure to include a gift tag or card.  Also, when necessary add a gift receipt to the gift. A nicely wrapped gift shows the person that you took the time to make it special.

Appreciation:  Make sure to always show appreciation to someone that has given you a gift.  Whether you like the gift or not.  Even if you do not have a gift in return.  Receive the gift graciously and thank them.  Remember that person took the time to think of you and present you with something special.

The bottom line is, what we give as gifts and how we receive them says a lot about us.  Keep in mind most people give gifts to show their appreciation.  Most of the time they are just looking for a simple thank you and nothing in return. Enjoy your Holiday Season!

    What's in your Matcha?

    What's in your Matcha?

Matcha Tea is becoming quite popular these days.  You may be asking "What is Matcha?" Most historians believe that the very first green tea seeds were brought to Japan from China by the Zen Monk Eisai in 1191 A.D. In Japanese,  "Ma" means powder and "Cha" means tea.  So, in essence you have a powder tea which is the most potent green tea in the world.  Okay! That's great but how does that benefit anyone?  One major benefit of this tea is that it packs a punch of antioxidants.  Just one cup of Matcha Tea has as many antioxidants as 10 cups of Green Tea.  Antioxidants are naturally occurring componds that help prevent chronic diseases and aging.  Not only is this green tea great in these areas, but it is also a great addition to your skin care routine.

    Matcha Green Tea

Your thinking, "How is Matcha beneficial for my skin?"  Lets Dive in!  Matcha is a natural alternative to the products found in your local stores.  It is also a valuable ingredient when it comes to antioxidants because it contains EGCG, a hard-to-find antioxidant that counters the effects of pollution, UV rays, radiation, and chemicals. Antioxidants are the key because they work to reduce inflammation and free radicals that accelerate skin aging.

    1. Reduces Inflammation: Matcha has anti-imflammatory properties that help reduce redness associated with chronic skin conditions such as rosacea and acne. Matcha is also gentle enough for all skin types to use.
    2. Treats Oily Skin:  One can use this green tea to shrink pores and reduce the production of oil associated with acne.
    3. Improves Complexion:  It helps to keep your skin looking fresh and healthy.  Who doesn't want that?  I know I sure do!  This green tea gently exfoliates the skin to remove dead skin cells and improve ones complexion.
    4. Ant-Aging:  Matcha stimulates elastin production to add volume to the skin. It also protects the skin against free radicals that cause sun damage, age spots, dry skin, and wrinkles.
    5. All Skin Types:  This is great for all skin types.  Oily/Acne Prone, Mature, Combination, Normal, and even Dry Skin.  The reason is because it is natural with no harsh chemicals.  That is why it is gentle enough for younger skin and great for skin types that need that extra boost.

The next time you want a little rejuvenating skin treatment, a "Matcha Facial Mask" is one of the best things you can do.  We have taken the leg work out for you. The Benefits of Tea Baths

A natural herbal bath is a great way to relax and relieve tension, soothe aching muscles and joints, stimulate circulation, or help chase away a cold. Each unique blend of organic botanicals enhances the natural healing and soothing effects of a warm bath.

Research supports the benefits of Tea because of its many antioxidant and antimicrobial qualities.  Teas can be used for various therapeutic effects such as anti-inflammatory, anti-carcinogenic, immune-enhancing, and more.  Since the skin is the largest organ in the body, a “tea bath” allows the body to absorb the tea and its beneficial nutrients much quicker than you could obtain by drinking tea.

Why you need our Lip Balm

Having chapped lips is one of life’s most unpleasant experiences. So whether you’re providing daily care to avoid chapped lips, or going through the misery of remedying chapped lips, you need to provide your lips with moisturizing nutrients and Natures Bath & Body lip balm is ideal to do just that.
Dry lips need comfort too, but you want to opt for a natural lip balm like ours that is not overly harsh on your skin. Too many products on the market contain parabens, synthetic fragrances and petroleum based ingredients that dry skin out, which only causes us to continue applying the product, repeating the tedious cycle. The benefits associated with using a natural lip balm are extensive: they contain natural ingredients like beeswax and shea butter that moisturize lips for a long lasting hydrated and soft feel. Natures Bath & Body Lip Balm is free of parabens, phthalates and petroleum and contains a great mix of coconut oil, shea butter, and Beeswax.

4 benefits of using our lip balm

        1. Your skin heals faster
The skin on your lips is thinner than your facial skin. So in case you are suffering from chapped and dry lips, using our lip balm will ensure that your lips are well hydrated and they heal faster.

         2. You avoid the embarrassment of chapped lips

If you've ever experienced chapped, peeling and cracked lips, you will know exactly how embarrassing it is. During the winters, this thin layer is easily licked off. In combination with cold and windy weather, this often leads to chapped and dry lips. Thus it is mandatory to wear a lip balm.
        3. They'll appear suppler
Thin and dry lips turn plump and moisturised with a sweep of balm giving your lips the perfect movie star pout! There are plenty of lip glosses that claim to plump your lips, but moisturizing them every day is a great way to ensure that you maintain a youthful, supple look.
        4. Contains SPF protection too
Our Lip Balms contain natural SPF protection from the oils that we use. This will automatically help your lips from becoming dry and chapped and will protect against the harmful rays of the sun as well.
Each Tube is .15 oz and is great to take anywhere you go.  Fits easily in your pocket or your purse.
Ingredients: Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Beeswax + Flavoring.
For external use only. This product has not been evaluated by the FDA and is not intended to diagnose, prevent or cure any disease. It is paraben and gluten free. No animal testing

In a world where we are increasingly curious about the ingredients in everything from our food to our shampoo, reading labels and understanding ingredients is more important than ever.

Did you know that approximately 60% of the things you put on your skin are absorbed into your bloodstream? When you couple that with the fact that few people have a good understanding of the ingredients in their favorite beauty products, it’s really no wonder why we’re seeing such an increase in products that are all-natural and actually good for us.

Talc powder is one such ingredient, and it can be found in a wide range of health and beauty products, including cosmetics and body powders, and can be found in numerous other products around your home as well. While it’s a common ingredient, many people don’t know that it may be potentially harmful to their overall health and wellness.

What is Talc Powder & Why Should I Avoid it?

According to the FDA, “talc is a mineral, produced by the mining of talc rocks and then
processed by crushing, drying and milling. Processing eliminates a number of trace minerals from the talc, but does not separate minute fibers which are very similar to asbestos.”

Talc has been found to cause tumors and has been labeled a carcinogen by the FDA. As a result, consumers are advised to use talc-free products whenever possible. When it comes to beauty and skincare products, the good news just keeps coming, as numerous brands are now offering talc-free products.

Possible Benefits of Using Talc-Free Powders

Natures Bath & Body offers a range of body powders that are completely talc-free, and these products, as well as others, offer a number of benefits for your overall health, as well as the health and appearance of your skin. Let’s take a look at some of them!

        • Talc-free powders are kind to sensitive skin. Numerous chemical ingredients, and especially talc powder, can irritate sensitive skin, leaving it itchy, red, and sore. When you use talc-free powders like those from Natures Bath & Body, your skin gets refreshed and moisture gets absorbed without causing irritation.
        • Talc-free powders are lighter and less cakey. Talc powder, when used in larger amounts, will still absorb moisture, but can become cakey. This leaves your skin feeling heavy, and who wants that? The talc-free options will still get rid of moisture, but will leave your skin refreshed and feeling fine.
        • Talcfree powders give you less to worry about. Given all the things that may contribute to the development of tumors and other forms of cancer, using talc-free products may not seem like a big thing, but it can offer a little peace of mind.

When it comes to your overall health – especially in the long-term – you’ll want to make sure you’re doing all you can to stay healthy. Talc-free products are a great step to maintaining an optimal level of health!

All-Natural Deodorant vs. the traditional Antiperspirant

All-Natural Deodorant vs. the traditional Antiperspirant

SCENTS AVAILABLE~ Lemongrass, Lavender, Naked, Spearmint Eucalyptus, & Signature Blend.

Many depend on the strength of antiperspirant to control perspiration, but a little sweat won’t hurt you as much as some of the side effects associated with the product. The various aluminum compounds typically used in antiperspirants work by closing or clogging pores to prevent the release of perspiration. When sweat builds up behind blocked ducts, it becomes trapped beneath the skin. This can cause unpleasant side effects such as bumpy and painful inflammation along with a buildup of sweat-digesting bacteria, which actually cause bad odor. To make it worse, the acidity of the aluminum compounds causes a reaction with fabric leaving a “lovely” yellow reminder of your perspiration on your glowing white shirts.

When digging deeper into the issue, there are larger health risks at stake that aren’t just skin deep. From infertility-causing ingredients to toxic chemicals linked to Alzheimer’s and cancer, antiperspirants contain a variety of ingredients that are absorbed into the skin and can lead to a wide list of ailments and systemic diseases.

As opposed to the synthetic counterpart, natural deodorant has a plethora of benefits. The use of only natural ingredients reduces the probability of suffering from diseases caused by toxic chemicals and limits the likelihood of experiencing contact dermatitis caused by irritants and allergens. Once you have made the transition to natural deodorant, your underarms will feel fresh and odor-free even without deodorant. Also, because your skin won't be irritated and inflamed, you will be able to get a cleaner shave that lasts longer than when using antiperspirant. Oh, and thankfully, your white shirts will stay white.

        1. Some individuals will need to reapply their deodorant during the day.
        2. Your underarms will actually go through a detox process.
To speed up the detoxification process by renewing the skin, exfoliate under your arms twice a week. Wash your underarms daily with natural soap and water. You may struggle with a strong odor for 1 to 3 weeks while your body expels the toxins from your body, but don’t give up! A morning, midday and evening wash may be necessary during this pungent period. Apply your deodorant after each daytime rinse to refresh and protect you throughout the day. You will eventually notice the strong odor disappears and leaves you smelling naturally fresh even without deodorant.
        3.Stick with Natural Fiber Clothing

Polyesters and acrylic fibers trap moisture, which cause mold to grow on clothing resulting bad odor. Be sure to wear natural fibers such as cottons, hemp and silk to stay odor-free during and after the transition period.
